NETWORK INSTALLATION
The Bone Group can design and install various sizes and
configurations of networks:
Peer-to-Peer
For a small- to medium-sized network which only needs
to allow its members to share data, a peer-to-peer network
is a cost-effective solution. Workstations are networked
together in a common workgroup, and files, printers
and internet connections may be shared.
Client Server (Windows NT)
For a network with more specific needs, such as security,
a client/server network provides a much more robust
environment than a peer-to-peer network. A Windows NT
server can provide such features as user authentication
and security, email hosting, database and internet services,
and efficient file storage and sharing, to name a few.
These features are more costly than the simple peer-to-peer
model, but the benefits can greatly outweigh the cost
merely by the streamlining and managing of business
processes.
